Ole Miss Alumni Association Announces 2014-15 Officers

OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss Alumni Association announced its officers for 2014-15 on Saturday, Oct. 18 as part of Homecoming festivities on campus.

Trentice Imbler of Tupelo was named president, a one-year term that changes each Homecoming. Imbler is a veteran agent with State Farm Insurance with more than 30 years of experience in that role. She is past president of the Tupelo Kiwanis Club, the Tupelo Life Underwriters Association and of the State of Mississippi Life Under­writers Association.

“Great things are happening at the University of Mississippi,” said Imbler. “I am very humbled to have been asked to serve as Alumni Association president.”

Imbler earned her Bachelor of Science in Applied Sciences in 1978 from the University of Mississippi. She is a member of First United Methodist Church in Tupelo and has two children, Mallie and Carrol Trent Imbler.

Outgoing Alumni Association President Jimmy Brown (BBA 70) of Grenada said his term as president was very fulfilling. “This experience has been a highlight in my life. It has especially been rewarding to meet so many people who share a deep love for Ole Miss.”

Eddie Maloney (BBA 72), president of Cowboy Maloney’s Electronic City in Jackson, was named president-elect. Hal Moore (MD 76), president of Singing River Radiology Group in Pascagoula, was elected vice president.

Athletics Committee members include Kimsey Cooper (BSPh 94) of Carthage and Chip Crunk (BBA 87) of Brentwood, Tenn. Cooper, a former Miss Ole Miss, currently serves as district pharmacy supervisor for CVS Pharmacy, overseeing pharmacy operations in Mississippi. Crunk serves as president and chief operating officer of the RJ Young Company in Nashville. Ole Miss Alumni Association Executive Director Tim Walsh (BPA 83, MEd 91) serves as treasurer.
