The performance is set for 2-4 p.m. Admission is free to the public.

Astronomical images from deep space will provide the backdrop for the music of Frescobaldi, Marini, Castello and other Italian composers performed on recorders, viola da gamba, and harpsichord. Before the concert, Marco Cavaglia, UM assistant professor of physics and astronomy, will demonstrate antique astronomical instruments in the museum's Millington-Barnard Collection of Scientific Instruments.

The University Museum is at Fifth Street and University Avenue.
