OXFORD, Miss. – Susan Madl, procurement assistant in the Department of Procurement Services, is the Staff Member of the Month for May.
“This is a total shock,” said Madl, who is retiring June 30 after 11 years of employment at UM. “I simply enjoy my job and strive to do my best.”
In addition to enjoying her duties, Madl said her many friends on campus are the most fulfilling aspect of working at Ole Miss.
“Susan was highly recommended for Staff Member of the Month because she presents herself in a warm, kind manner,” said UM Staff Council President Amanda Walker of Madl’s recognition. “She always goes above and beyond in her job capacity to help other staff members. And she has devoted many years of service to the university.”
