Ole Miss Campus Recreation Hosting 11th Annual Triathlon

Registration open through March 27 for endurance event

OXFORD, Miss. – The 11th Annual Rebel Man Sprint Triathlon is coming up April 3 at the University of Mississippi.

Hosted by the Department of Campus Recreation, the event begins at 8 a.m. in the Turner Center. It includes a 440-meter swim at the Turner Center natatorium, 22-kilometer bike ride through the Ole Miss campus and city of Oxford, and a 5.5-K run through campus.

“The Rebel Man spring triathlon is the perfect race for beginners, veterans, leisure lovers and competitors,” said Brian Veverka, the department’s graduate assistant for intramural sports and sport clubs. “Swim in the Ole Miss natatorium, bike around beautiful Oxford and run through the heart of Ole Miss. You will get the chance to enjoy Oxford, Mississippi, at its fullest while the weather is beautiful.”

Registration costs $50 for students, $110 for student teams, $60 for nonstudents and $130 for nonstudent teams if registration is completed by Feb. 29. Between March 1 and March 27, prices are $60 for students, $120 for student teams, $70 for nonstudents and $140 for nonstudent teams.

Everyone who registers by March 20 will be guaranteed a racing shirt. The registration deadline is March 27.
