Jake Bennett (left), UM assistant professor of physics and astronomy, leads a team of undergraduate researchers who are contributing to several parts of the Belle II experiment, an international collaboration in Japan that is helping unravel mysteries about matter, antimatter and the nature of the universe. Ole Miss student (from left) Wil Stacy, Matthew Mestayer, Sakul Mahat and Paul Gebeline have made valuable contributions to the project and presented their findings at the annual meeting of the Southeastern Section of the American Physical Society in November.
