UM Offers WebIDs for Parents


OXFORD, Miss. – After months of planning and work, the University of Mississippi’s Office of Information Technology has launched a way for parents of Ole Miss students to receive WebIDs in order to view academic data, pay bills and use other campus services.

“This project is important for several reasons,” said Kathy Gates, UM chief information officer. “We think it can help with retention and academic success. In some cases, it helps to have a parent on board with the student’s performance to encourage and motivate the student if he or she begins to have problems.”Read the story …
