A university would be nothing without its students.
And we have some of the best here at Ole Miss.
The university is known for academic excellence, and Ole Miss students have been the recipients of many prestigious scholarships. Ole Miss has produced 25 Rhodes Scholars, more than any other SEC school. Since 1998, the university also has produced seven Truman scholars, 10 Goldwater scholars and 14 Fulbright scholars, just to name a few.
Enrollment has increased more than 22 percent in the last five years and our freshman class is 39 percent larger. This increase in enrollment gives Ole Miss more than 23,000 students, making it the largest university in Mississippi.
And the world is well represented through students at Ole Miss. Our students come from all 50 states and 92 different countries.
Surveys have indicated the top reason for students to attend the university is because of Ole Miss’ wonderful academic reputation. The second reason is for the Southern culture, which the university embodies.
We are very thankful to be the fastest-growing university in the state and are proud that so many students choose to call Ole Miss home.
