Ole Miss Washington Interns Thrive in Washington DC

Since 2008 UM Washington Internship Experience (WIE) students have excelled during their time in Washington, but their efforts are paying off even after they return home.  Program participants gain real-world work experiences, develop skills employers demand, and bring their hands-on understanding of D.C. back to their programs of study. Jinnifer Jackson, a Criminal Justice graduate student, was a 2012 WIE summer intern at the American Correctional Association.  She was accepted to the program at the suggestion of Jeff Johnson.  While in DC at the end of the summer, we met with her supervisors at the ACA, and they were very pleased with her performance, and the experience seemed to be quite enriching for Jinnifer as well.
