Summertime is the right time for road trips and exploring the world. For a group of youngsters from Batesville that road trip led them to Ole Miss.
Through the University of Mississippi’s McLean Institute for Public Service and Community Engagement, a group of children, ages 6 to 16, from the Boys & Girls Club of Northwest Mississippi and the Upward Bound program visited Ole Miss. While here for their day-long journey, they enjoyed a guided tour of the National Institute for Undersea Science and Technology, a campus tour and a up-close look at ancient artifacts and modern art at the University Museum. They even got to create their own paintings inspired by the work of Theora Hamblett.
I hope wherever your summer road trips take you, you smile and laugh as much as these children did.
