Students, do you think you have what it takes to come up with a business plan to address one of Mississippi’s most pressing problems?
Through research, teaching and service, universities help tackle health issues, improve education and assist those who are economically disadvantaged, unemployed or underemployed.
Knowing that University of Mississippi students possess the creativity and ingenuity necessary to find unique solutions to these problems, Mississippi Public Universities have constructed the Mississippi Social Business Challenge.
Here’s what you need to enter:
- A creative business plan to address one of Mississippi’s most pressing problems
- Up to six undergraduate or graduate students
- One captain and co-captain
- At least one faculty adviser
The deadline to enter the competition is Oct. 29. To enter, email the names of the team members, including the faculty adviser and captain and co-captain to socialbusiness@olemiss.edu.
The on-campus competition will take place at 2 p.m. Nov. 7 at Insight Park. The statewide competition will be held March 12, 2015, in the state Capitol in Jackson.
Full details on the competition can be found online.
