Children learn about one of the many unique collections displayed at the UM Museum.
The University of Mississippi Museum is turning 75 this year, and the museum staff invites the community to join the celebration with a “Happy Birthday Museum! Family Day.”
The free event is set for 10 a.m. to noon Saturday (Oct. 25) at the museum, and families can drop in during that time for birthday-inspired snacks and art stations. Families also can explore the museum’s diverse collections and special exhibits.
“Throughout this special anniversary year, the University Museum is planning many special events and initiatives,” said Emily Dean, curator of education. “This family day promises to be a fun birthday celebration with projects for even our youngest participants.”
The event is sponsored by the Children’s Dental Center of Oxford.
