Today, we are thankful for the family support of our students through the Ole Miss Family Association (families.olemiss.edu).
The Family Association, open for parents and family members of students, serves as a way for the university to inform families of resources and issues that are critical for student success.
In addition to providing resources for families, the Family Association also provides social opportunities for parents and students, including annual Fall Family Weekends. The weekends include campus walks, updates from faculty and staff, meals and a catered tent in the Grove for an Ole Miss football game. Fall Family Weekend also coincides with the annual Rebel Run so that family members of freshmen can see their students run across Vaught-Hemingway field before the start of the game.
The Family Association also hosts annual Summer Sendoffs, events located in parent or alumni host cities that serve as a way for Ole Miss students and families to meet other Ole Miss families in their area.
Membership is easy and includes a newsletter with tips and news specifically for Ole Miss family members. For $40 a year, up to two people can be added to the mailing list.
