The University of Mississippi Panhellenic Council and the Department of Student Housing’s Residential Hall Association are hosting an evening of trick-or-treating, games and free activities from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 29) on campus.
The Halloween event is open to the Lafayette-Oxford-University community. Members and volunteers from Ole Miss Panhellenic and RHA will host trick-or-treating at the sorority houses and residential halls on Sorority Row and Women’s Terrace.
This is Ole Miss Panhellenic’s second year of teaming with RHA to host the event.
“It is important for Ole Miss Panhellenic to work with student housing in order to show the university that we care about the other organizations on campus,” said Rebekah Patterson, UM Panhellenic vice president of programming. “We love working together with them to promote diversity and better relationships on campus.”
The Panhellenic Council and RHA will also have various activities set up in the Grove, including a DJ, snow cones, a character meet-and-greet and tables for face painting, painting pumpkins and coloring. Rebel Bear will also make a guest appearance.
“Service is a quality that all Greek women strive to embody and as leaders on this campus, Panhellenic searches for opportunities like this to give back to Oxford and serve the community the best we can,” Patterson said.
