Meet Le’Tosha James, April’s Staff Member of the Month

Le’Tosha James

Le’Tosha James, an administrative assistant in the Department of Naval Science, has been named Staff Council’s Staff Member of the Month for April. To help us get to know her better, she answered some questions for Inside Ole Miss.

IOM: How long have you worked at Ole Miss?

James: 6½ years.

IOM: What is your hometown?

James: Oxford.

IOM: Talk about your favorite Ole Miss memory. 

James: Meeting (former Ole Miss quarterback) Bo Wallace in the ID Center.

IOM: What do you enjoy most about your position or the department in which you work?

James: I enjoy seeing the students complete their degrees and leave to start the next part of their journey in the U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps.

IOM: What do you like to do when you are not at work?

James: I shop and I read. 

IOM: What is one thing on your bucket list?

James: I want to visit the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls.

IOM: What is your favorite movie?

James: The Color Purple.”

IOM: What is your favorite Ole Miss tradition?

James: Tailgating.

IOM: What is a fun fact about you?

James: I will be graduating from Ole Miss May 2021.

IOM: If you could have lunch with anyone, alive or dead/fictional or real, who would it be and why?

James: Former first lady Michelle Obama. I would love to talk with her about her book “Becoming,” being the first lady and how it was living in the White House.
