… Thursday afternoon series begins Sept. 2
OXFORD, Miss. – A speaker series sponsored by the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi offers a look into ethical dilemmas, entry-level career opportunities and more.
The “Fall 2010 Distinguished Speakers” series, scheduled mostly for Thursday afternoons, will cover a range of topics including business trends, issues and careers.
“Our Distinguished Speaker Series is an integral piece of the MBA program as it provides students an opportunity to hear from top business leaders in the community,” said Bethany Cooper, director of corporate relations and MBA services. “The series also gives our speakers the chance to engage with our MBA students, and to give back to our future leaders.”
Unless noted otherwise, each program will be held in Holman Hall, Room 30 at 4:30 p.m. Thursdays. All events are free and open to the public.
The series begins Sept. 2 with a conversation with John Dunavant, vice president of Federal Express World Hub.

Sept. 16 – Jeff Rogers, director of intermediary relations at Hewlett Packard.

Sept. 23 – Melanie Dowell, senior vice president of wealth management at Morgan Stanley Smith Barnes.
Sept. 30 – Glen Warren, president and CEO of Antero Resources.
Oct. 1 – Casey Franco, sales representative for Eli Lilly, speaks at 11 a.m. in Holman Hall, Room 230.
Oct. 7 – Liz Randall, president of the Randall Perkins Group.
