OXFORD, Miss. – University of Mississippi students and members of the Oxford community can experience the thrill of deep-sea fishing by traveling to Biloxi this weekend (Sept. 19-21) with Campus Recreation and Ole Miss Outdoors.
“It’ll be a great way to de-stress before the semester gets into full swing,” said Katherine Westfall, Ole Miss Outdoors graduate assistant. “This year will be our first time taking students to Biloxi, and I am excited to be able to bring this adventure to Ole Miss.”
Registration for the trip is open until Tuesday (Sept. 16), and spots are limited. Cost is $260 for students and $290 for the general public. The fee includes food, travel, any needed certification and lodging.
The excursion will include camping on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and eight hours of fishing. Campus Recreation provides students and community members with opportunities to experience the outdoors through its Ole Miss Outdoors programs.
