OXFORD, Miss. – Egg Bowl tailgaters will be able to set their tents up early due to the Thanksgiving holiday, University of Mississippi officials announced today.
Traditionally, the Grove opens at 9 p.m. on Fridays before home football games in order to allow Ole Miss students and faculty in Friday afternoon classes to exit campus. However, tailgaters for the Egg Bowl will be able to set up their tents beginning at noon on Friday (Nov. 23) due to the holiday.
Tailgaters are reminded that only university-sponsored events are held in reserved places, and space in the Grove is claimed on a first-come basis.
