The J.D. Williams Library is getting into the Halloween spirit with hidden library tours offering sneak peaks of parts of the library not commonly seen.
Tours include a presentation of the history of the library, a “petting zoo” of rare and unusual library items and a walking tour of interesting areas normally accessible only to staff. The walking tour will include the mezzanine levels and the library’s hidden “floors between floors.”
“People think they know the library, but many of them have never gone beyond the Starbucks line; that’s where we come in,” said Alex Watson, reference librarian and associate professor.
There are two tours offered for this event on Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. and Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. There is no cost and no age limit, and the tour stars in the library classroom 106E.
