Miss Ole Miss and Colonel Rebel introduced before kickoff
OXFORD, Miss. University of Mississippi students, alumni and friends
look forward to an array of activities Friday and Saturday (Oct. 16-17)
during Homecoming Weekend, planned around the theme “Ole Miss: An
Experience That Lasts a Lifetime.”
A
memorable experience each year is crowning of the Ole Miss Homecoming
queen and presentation of her court. The ceremony for this year’s queen,
Hart Wardlaw of Tupelo, is scheduled Saturday at halftime during the
football matchup between Ole Miss and University of Alabama-Birmingham,
with kickoff at 6 p.m.
Pre-game
activities beginning at 5:30 p.m. include introduction of Miss Ole Miss
and Colonel Rebel, Carmen Rae Musgrove of Brandon and Steven Nelson of
Hattiesburg.
Homecoming
maids are seniors Beth Aiken of Jackson, Leighanne Pegues of Olive Branch
and Amber Tramp of Keller, Texas; juniors Hannah Neely of Jackson and
Hanna Nutt of Oklahoma City; sophomores Hailey Nutt of Oklahoma City and
Robin Walker of Paris, Tenn.; and freshmen Kim Dandridge of Como and
Danielle Smith of Oxford.
