Ladies Football Forum To Honor Chucky Mullins

Event Set for July 21

OXFORD, Miss. – Beloved Ole Miss legend Chucky Mullins will be honored during the 12th annual Ole Miss Ladies’ Football Forum held July 21 at the Indoor Practice Facility on the Oxford campus.

A panel, which features former Rebel head coach Billy Brewer, Chucky Mullins Courage Award winner Jeff Carter, former Vanderbilt football player Brad Gaines, former Rebel athletic trainer Leroy Mullins, and Chucky’s parents Karen and Carver Phillips, will discuss Chucky’s life and impact on the Ole Miss family. Ole Miss football radio play-by-play announcer David Kellum will serve as emcee for the event.

“We are so excited to honor Chucky this year because he is such an important part of the Ole Miss community,” said Ladies’ Forum Coordinator Chyna Ward-Poley. “The ladies will have the chance to hear from the people closest to Chucky on how he touched so many lives. They will also have the same in-depth access into the Ole Miss Rebel Football Program as past forums. In between speakers, the ladies will tour the weight room, training room and locker room.”

As in past forums, the Ole Miss coaching staff will provide participants with insight into the sport and even more Xs and Os than in previous years. The ladies will learn how the Rebels prepare for a game and will have the opportunity to run out on the field with head coach Hugh Freeze.

Women interested in participating in the Ladies’ Football Forum should contact Ward-Poley at 662-801-2881 or email chyna@olemiss.edu. The cost is $150 per person, and a registration is available on-line by clicking here.
