Dr. Arthur Guyton and Ruth Weigle Guyton will be honored posthumously April 13 with the Legacy Award by the Ole Miss Women’s Council for Philanthropy. Dr. Guyton has been called one of the greatest cardiovascular scientists of the 20th century, and the couple’s 10 children all became physicians.
