Ole Miss would face the No. 4 seed Kansas State or the winner of the play-in game between Boise State and La Salle in the third round on Sunday with a victory over Wisconsin. A trip to Los Angeles awaits the Rebels if they advance to the Sweet Sixteen and a possible matchup with No. 1 seed Gonzaga.

This marks the Rebels’ seventh in NCAA Tournament appearance and first for head coach Andy Kennedy. Ole Miss also tripped to Kansas City for the first and second rounds en route to a Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2001. That year the Rebels knocked off Iona in the first round and Norte in the second round before traveling to San Antonio.
