Last Tuesday marks a huge milestone for the university’s social media team: Both the Ole Miss Instagram and Ole Miss Pinterest account took first place honors in PR Daily’s 2013 Social Media Awards, beating out campaigns for brands like Procter & Gamble, Esurance and Elizabeth Arden.
We’re super excited, because we work very hard to produce creative content for Ole Miss fans, and we have a good time doing it. (It’s hard not to have a good time when working with students to create 15-second Instagram videos and crafting “Grove Goblets” to promote the Pinterest page. Seriously—one of the perks of managing Ole Miss Pinterest is my desk drawer full of crafty things. Never know when I’m going to need red and blue ribbon or super glue.)
