SEC Community Service Team Player Of The Week: Devin Thomas

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ole Miss senior running back Devin Thomas is the Southeastern Conference Football Community Service Team Player of the Week for Week 9 of the SEC football season.

Thomas has visited with children at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and read at local elementary schools as part of “Reading with the Rebels.” He took part in a toy drive for Toys for Tots, the SEC’s “Together We Can” food drive and Relay for Life.

The San Antonio, Texas native has volunteered to clean up The Grove after football gamedays on the Ole Miss campus and participated with his Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity in Project Alpha, in which college students mentor inner-city youth.

Thomas is a member of the Ole Miss Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Student-Athlete Welfare Committee. He is a three-year letterman and recipient of the 2009 Jeff Hamm Memorial Award for Most Improved Offensive Player in the spring.
