University of Mississippi Writing Project (UMWP) Teacher Consultant Sydney McGaha of Tupelo spoke during a congressional hearing in the U.S. Senate Russell Building in Washington D.C. this past March. McGaha, who is an English Teacher at Pontotoc High School, joined other representatives from the UMWP at the U.S. Capitol to share information and data about the success of the program in rural Miss. school districts.
