OXFORD, Miss. — A Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College admissions counselor at the University of Mississippi was selected to participate in the 2010 NASPA Region III New Professionals Institute.
With a record number of applicants, Ryan Upshaw was the only Mississippian selected to attend the professional development conference June 21-25 in Atlanta, Ga.
“I hope to learn new skills and ideas from veterans in the field of higher education and bring those ideas and skills back to Ole Miss,” Upshaw said.
Geared toward student affairs professionals, the conference includes an intense and interactive residential week of learning, networking, sharing and professional and personal development.
