Today, the United States battles Belgium for a spot in the World Cup quarterfinals. This could be the last chance for four years to see the United States compete on the grand stage.

In extremely related news, this may also be your last chance to get an epic U-S-A chant going at a local establishment. So, now it’s for real and all citizens should tune in.

The USA hasn’t made it to the quarterfinals since 2002. The game kicks off at 3 p.m. If we win, we face the winner of the Switzerland versus Argentina match.

Viewership is up for this World Cup and USA games continue to break records. We’ll have to see how Wednesday feels emotionally. But, for now, the USA soccer team has piqued American interest in soccer. A win against Belgium could see that wave carry for four more years.
